Okay! Time to pretend like I actually know what I'm talking about! 
I used both human and wolf skeletons as reference and tried to combine the two in a semi-realistic way. The brow is larger and more defined than that of a normal wolf's. And the spine is longer and more arched than a human's. The shoulders are lower and face the front like a quadruped. My guess is that it's so he can shift from a bipedal position to all fours easier.
Whenever I draw this character, I tend to make him more human-like. But when ~Goldylocksgacy draws him; he tend to be more Wolf-like. So this probably isn't the most correct rendering. But it's to help me out with my piss-poor anatomy.
